Well, here we are again. We stayed in Minnesota to visit Shelley and Gene for a day. Much too short of a visit.
Shelley helped me fix my mail so that I can get mail from people. Don't ask me, it was an AOL thing. Go figure.... LOL.
We tried our best to steal the dishes, but she actually did an inventory before we left after dinner. The silverware was much easier to clip though, and the bath towels were a breeze.
We also went to the Mall of America and that was a good time. Of course, we could not just look at things, we actually had to contribute to the local economy and help keep the tax revenue base alive and well. I should say, I spent more than Karol at this stop. LOL.
The trip to the basket place was really cool. So much to see and do and such little time. It was pretty cool to see an amusement park in a shopping mall. What a place to park the kids. This place can really pick your pockets. LOL but, fun to be had by all.
The entire town where the basket place is was filled with shops that had baskets from all over the world. There were molds, baskets, flowers, candles, candy and stamps just to start the list. An expensive stop by any standards. This was one that both Karol and I just sorta let go of the budget and had some fun.
We are west of Fargo tonight. Staying at a place called Jamestown. There is an albino Buffalo here and the herds of buffalo are all over the place.
We wanted to stop and see Jan and Dennis but, we did not have a number and Fargo was bigger than we thought.
Why can't people live in towns like we do with just 7,000 people or less. It makes it much easier to find people.
Well, here are a couple of photo's from the past few days.
The biggest Basket in the World (Longaberger).
The biggest Basket of Apples in the World (Longaberger) -- Both in Wisconsin.
Time for some cheese in Wisconsin.
The Snoopy playground in the Mall of America.
Well, that is all for this note. More to follow with pictures of the visit with Shelley and Gene and of course Ms. Webster herself.
Take care,
Have great day,
Don, Karol and the kids.
